Iran Calls for UN Action over Bahrain
(Reuters) Reza Derakhshi - Iran has complained to the UN about Bahrain's crackdown on Shi'ite protesters and asked regional countries to urge Saudi Arabia to withdraw troops from the island state. Iran has said the Bahrain crisis, where at least six people died in clashes on Wednesday, could lead to wider conflict. The Sunni Saudi monarchy provides 12% of U.S. crude imports and Washington considers it a powerful regional counterweight to Iran.
