Sharon Weighs Relocating Gaza Jewish Communities
(Ha'aretz) Nir Hasson and Nadav Shragai - Prime Minister Sharon is considering moving the entire Gush Katif population en masse to a new location near Ashkelon after a meeting with a dozen settlers due for evacuation, sources in the Prime Minister's Office said Tuesday. The proposal calls for establishing four new communities on 1,000 acres in the Nitzanim area. It would entail moving an army base out of the area, but would preserve the area's nature reserves.
