Peres to Cheney: No Building in Maale Adumim for Now
(Ha'aretz) Nathan Gutman and Nadav Shragai - Vice Premier Shimon Peres met Thursday with U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney, and told him that for the time being Israel is not building new neighborhoods near Maale Adumim, east of Jerusalem. Peres said the construction plans will not be implemented in the near future. Cheney expressed the American administration's opposition to the plan, designed to connect the West Bank settlement to Jerusalem.
