The Resistance Camp Abandons Assad
(MEMRI) B. Chernitsky - The international criticism of the Syrian regime's treatment of the protesters has been echoed by elements from the resistance camp, such as Al-Jazeera and other media in Qatar. Even elements in Iran criticized Syria's suppression of the unrest, despite that fact that the Iranian regime employs similar methods to suppress its own opposition. Turkey, which in recent years has tightened its relations with Syria and Iran, was also harsh in its criticism of the Syrian regime.
