50 New Orleans Jewish Students Interested in Studying in Israel
(Ha'aretz) Shoshana Kordova - At least 50 Jewish students from New Orleans have expressed interest in coming to Israel to start the academic year, after Israeli universities and the Jewish Agency announced this week that they would provide full scholarships for students whose lives have been disrupted by Hurricane Katrina. The scholarships cover tuition and board and apply to students of all religions, as long as they are registered at Tulane University or any other New Orleans colleges and universities recognized by Israel.
