Fatah Offers Hamas Key Ministries for Fayyad Reappointment as Prime Minister
(Al Ahram-Egypt) Saleh Naami - An informed Palestinian official said that Fatah and Hamas are discussing a deal that would reappoint Salam Fayyad as prime minister of the new unity government. In return, Hamas would take the Finance, Education and Endowment ministries. He added that President Abbas is afraid Israel could mobilize the U.S. and EU against any government not headed by Fayyad. The official also revealed that Abbas has the support of Egypt on reappointing Fayyad.
