9 Palestinians Reported Killed in Gaza Fighting
(Yediot Ahronot-Hebrew) Eli Vaked and Hanan Greenberg - Palestinian sources report nine Palestinians were killed Wednesday near the Zaitoun neighborhood of Gaza, including five Islamic Jihad members, the organization announced. The IDF said Palestinians opened fire on IDF forces near Netzarim and the IDF returned the fire. The IDF emphasized that the entire area is characterized by intensive terrorist activity that includes shooting and firing mortars at Israeli civilians and soldiers.
