IDF Trains in Underground Tunnels

(Israel Defense Forces) Florit Shoihat - In the Gaza area there are hundreds of tunnels used mostly for terrorist purposes. In June 2006, terrorists used a tunnel near Kerem Shalom, killing two IDF soldiers and kidnapping Cpl. Gilad Shalit. Recently, IDF units have begun training in underground combat.
