Khatami Terms Tel Aviv as U.S. Capital

(IRIB News-Iran) Iranian President Mohammad Khatami told German television Saturday: "Israel's Zionist lobby decides a major part of American policy. I...feel sorry for the American nation because although its capital is Washington, its real capital is Tel Aviv." The Iranian president also reiterated that "historically as well as morally Israel is not a legitimate state."
