Obama Asks Bosnia Not to Support Palestinian Bid
(AP) Aida Cerkez - President Barack Obama has sent a letter to Bosnian leaders urging them not to support the Palestinian bid for statehood at the UN Security Council, authorities said Thursday. Bosnia has a non-permanent seat on the Security Council. "The stand of the U.S. government is that the Palestinian effort on statehood in the UN and other places is not going to achieve what we want to see for both the Israelis and the Palestinians in the Middle East," U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia Patrick Moon said. "The solution we all want to see will be achieved through a negotiated settlement."
