Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood Welcomes Hamas Leader in Cairo

(AP-Washington Post) Gaza's Hamas premier Ismail Haniyeh was in Cairo Monday for discussions with Mohammed Badie, the leader of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is considered an offshoot of the Brotherhood. Haniyeh described Hamas as the "jihadi movement of the Brotherhood with a Palestinian face."
