Assad Opponents Buying Weapons from Pro-Regime Militia
(Asharq Al-Awsat) Caroline Akoum - A senior anti-regime Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander revealed that the FSA purchases "a large proportion of our arms from the pro-regime Shabiha militia." He also claimed that the FSA obtains arms and weaponry from Alawite Syrian army officers who are sympathetic to the revolution.
