Police in Iran Shut 24 Internet Cafes
[Reuters/New York Times] The Iranian police have closed down 24 Internet cafes, detaining 23 people, as part of a broad crackdown on immoral behavior, official news media said Sunday. The action in Tehran Province was the latest move in a campaign against Western fashions and other practices deemed incompatible with Islamic values.
