UN General Assembly Debates World Court Ruling on Israeli Barrier
(VOA News) The UN General Assembly held an emergency meeting Friday to debate an Arab-sponsored draft resolution demanding that Israel comply with an advisory ruling by the World Court to stop construction of a security barrier in the West Bank. A vote is not expected before Monday as Arab sponsors of the resolution make modifications to win the support of the EU. U.S. Ambassador John Danforth says the U.S. will vote against the resolution.
