Gen. Dempsey Arrives in Israel to Oversee Joint Air Defense Drill

(Jerusalem Post) Yaakov Lappin - The Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, arrived in Israel on Sunday to oversee the joint U.S.-Israel air defense drill. One of the objectives of the drill is to facilitate the rapid deployment of U.S. missile defense systems to Israel and to test their ability to work with Israeli systems during a conflict.
