Israel Has Highest Birth Rate in West

(Jerusalem Post)Greer Fay Cashman - Israeli women have the highest average number of children in the Western world - 2.89, compared to 2.5 in Turkey and 2 in the U.S. The average life span for women is 81 years compared to 77 years for men. The average marrying age for Jewish women is 24.5, and for Muslim women 20.5. Israel ranks seventh in the Western world for percentage of women in higher education.
