Engaging Syria Won't Affect Iranian Nukes
[MERIA Journal-Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya] Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror - The nuclear threat in Iran will exist even if Syria completely cuts its ties with the country. Therefore, there is no real basis for those who say that the political process with Syria will help us against the Iranians. This is an illusion. The nuclear threat must be dealt with directly with the Iranians. There is no way to get around this by dealing with the Syrians.
