Sharon: We Will Never Concede Jerusalem
(Ha'aretz) Jonathan Lis - At an official ceremony marking the 36th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon promised Thursday not to redivide the city. "Jerusalem is defended by walls made of the love of the nation of Israel throughout all its generations. It is defended by the clear and unequivocal policy of its government. We will never concede Jerusalem. Never," said the prime minister. The day was marked by a traditional parade through the city's streets, which drew some 50,000 marchers from throughout the country.
