Defense News: Saudi Defense Budget Is Double Israel's
[Globes] Ran Dagoni - Defense News has ranked Israel 17th in a list of the world's top 25 defense spenders in 2005 in absolute terms. The U.S. tops the list, with a military budget of $518 billion in 2005, followed by China ($81b), France ($45b), Japan ($44b), the UK ($43b), Germany ($35b), Italy ($28b), South Korea ($21b), Russia ($21b), and India ($19b). Saudi Arabia is in 11th place with $18b, while Israel's military budget was half that - $9b.
