Ministers Approve Plan to Boost Israeli Arab Sector
(Ha'aretz) Yair Ettinger - The ministerial committee on Arab affairs, headed by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, on Tuesday approved a plan submitted by the National Security Council (NSC) for narrowing the gaps between the Jewish and Arab sectors. The plan includes affirmative action for Arabs in the civil service. The plan also calls for reconsidering the idea of national service for Arab high school graduates.
