Here, finally, the connection between Abbas and Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin is breaking. The American green light is clear - for the moment. The Americans, meanwhile, don't intend to give up without a fight. They are pressuring the Egyptians over the smuggling tunnels. And the Americans are telling the Palestinians: "You gave a personal promise to the President." But after all the pressure, it seems that the energy is waning.
