Arafat Tightens Grip on PA Security Forces
(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - In a move aimed at tightening his grip on the security forces, Arafat on Wednesday decided to reappoint Ghazi Jabali as head of the civilian police in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Jabali, a staunch Arafat loyalist, was dismissed by Arafat more than a year ago following allegations that he was involved in several corruption scandals.
