Egyptians Begin Asking: After Mubarak, What?
(Washington Post) Glenn Frankel - During his 22 years in power, Mubarak has never chosen a vice president. He has joked that he could never find anyone qualified for the post. The real reason, many analysts say, is that the ultra-cautious leader - who came to power after Anwar Sadat was assassinated by Islamic radicals in 1981 - did not want to create a potential rival. Now many Egyptians say they fear that if Mubarak died suddenly, Egypt could be left rudderless.
