Syrian Court Secretly Sentences Protesters

(AP/Washington Post) - The Human Rights Association in Syria said Tuesday that a military court had secretly tried 11 protesters detained after an April demonstration against the U.S. war in Iraq, sentencing them to three to four years in prison.
