Arafat's Goal: Palestinian State Absorbing Israel and Jordan
(BESA Bulletin) - Ehud Ya'ari Today's conflict is not a popular uprising but a premeditated war. The Palestinian state that Arafat is building will be a hostile state, for which the 1967 borders mean nothing. Palestinians today speak of reversing the results of 1948 and of absorbing Jordan. Arafat is preparing a long term political coalition between Hamas and the Tanzim. This is a partnership in terror with dangerous implications for Israel. We finished up with a draw in the first intifada. This time, a draw constitutes disaster. Israel must decisively win this round of conflict.
