Report: Turkey, Israel Bargaining over Compensation Amount
(Zaman-Turkey) Turkey and Israel are bargaining over the amount of compensation to be paid to the families of victims killed in a 2010 raid on a Gaza-bound ship, the Mavi Marmara, according to the Turkish media. The Haberturk daily reported on Tuesday that Israel has increased the amount of compensation from $3 million to more than $15 million, while Turkey has not taken a step back from the amount it insists on - $50 million.
