Israeli Navy to Hold Joint Exercise with U.S., Turkey

(Ha'aretz) Amos Harel - The navies of Israel, the U.S., and Turkey will hold joint maneuvers in the Mediterranean off the coast of Israel on January 1, 2003. The joint exercise will concentrate on search-and-rescue operations for sailors and vessels in distress. The exercise, whose aim is to improve cooperation among the three navies, has taken place every year since 1998.
