Syria Rebels Advance in Latakia by Mediterranean

(Christian Science Monitor) Ariel Zirulnick - Syrian rebels took parts of Latakia Province this week, President Bashar al-Assad's home province, securing their first coastal foothold. After an offensive that began last Friday, the regime responded with reinforcements and airstrikes.
