IDF Determines Missing Soldier Is Dead
(Ha'aretz) Gili Cohen - A special committee led by the Chief Rabbi of the IDF, Brig.-Gen. Rafi Peretz, determined on Friday that Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul, previously designated as missing, had died in battle and was "a soldier killed in action whose burial site is unknown." Hamas had claimed it had captured Shaul after citing his identity tag number.
