Poll: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon Reject IS

(Washington Institute for Near East Policy) David Pollock - New polls conducted in September show that the Islamic State has 3% support in Egypt, 5% support in Saudi Arabia, and only 1% support among Lebanon's Sunnis. In Egypt, one-third voice a positive attitude toward Hamas. In Saudi Arabia, that figure is 52%. Hizbullah, a Shiite Islamist organization, receives just 12-13% approval among Egypt's or Saudi Arabia's overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim populations.
