U.S. Supreme Court Hears Arguments in Israel Passport Case
(Politico) Josh Gerstein - The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments Monday in a case about whether U.S. passports should list Israel as the birthplace for American citizens born in Jerusalem. A lower court ruled last year that the passport law enacted by Congress unconstitutionally infringes on the president's power to recognize foreign countries and to decide what territories they have sovereignty over.
