Survey: Palestinians Working for Israelis Earn Double Those in the West Bank and Triple Those in Gaza
(Palestinian Media Watch) Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik - A survey conducted by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics in Oct.-Dec. 2014, funded by the EU, shows that in Israel and Israeli settlements, the average daily wage for Palestinians was 194.2 shekels, while Palestinians working in the PA in the West Bank earned 91.4 shekels, and those in Gaza made 66.1 shekels daily. The survey said 105,200 Palestinians were employed by Israelis at the end of 2014, 20,200 in settlements.
