Syria Downs U.S. Drone

(Reuters) Phil Stewart and Mariam Karouny - The U.S. lost an unarmed Predator drone aircraft operating over northwest Syria on Tuesday, U.S. officials said, as Syrian state media reported that its air defenses brought down the plane in Latakia province. A U.S. official said the aircraft took off from a base in Turkey.
