Hundreds of Iranian Troops in Syria Helping Assad
(Ha'aretz) Gili Cohen - Hundreds of Iran's Revolutionary Guard combat troops have been deployed in Syria over the past few days, mostly to aid Hizbullah in the fighting in the Zabadani region near the border with Lebanon, an Israeli defense source said on Thursday. Israeli says Assad now controls only about a quarter of the territory of Syria.
