Intel Buys Israeli 3D Video Tech Firm Replay Technologies
(Reuters-Sports Business Daily) Intel Corp said on Wednesday it bought Israel's Replay Technologies, which developed a 3D video technology that has started to be used by U.S. professional sports broadcasters. Israeli media said the purchase price was $175 million. Replay helps sports broadcasters show a panoramic view of the action. The system can freeze action from any angle, then rotate all around it.
