Uruguay Opens $20 Million Security Center Fueled by Israeli Technology

(JTA) Uruguay opened a $20 million video surveillance monitoring center near the tourism capital of Punta del Este with major support from Israeli technology. The center, which will be fully operational next year, comprises 1,200 cameras in 375 spots. The Israeli technology includes high definition cameras with License Plate Recognition technology.
