Islamic State Surrounds Military Airport in Eastern Syria

(Guardian-UK) Kareem Shaheen - Islamic State fighters from Iraq's Anbar province broke through government defense lines in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria on Monday, surrounding a military airport and cutting off food supplies for a quarter of a million civilians.
