Israel Seeks Buffer Zones on Syria's Borders with Israel and Jordan
(Ha'aretz) Barak Ravid - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is urging that any agreement to end the war in Syria include the establishment of buffer zones on the border between Syria and Israel and the border between Syria and Jordan, to prevent Iran and Hizbullah from establishing a presence in those areas. Sources said Netanyahu has raised this idea with the U.S. administration and other international actors in recent weeks.
