Thousands Mark Holocaust Remembrance Day with March of the Living at Auschwitz
(Times of Israel) Thousands of Jews from Israel and around the world participated in the March of the Living on Monday in honor of the millions who perished in the Holocaust at the former Nazi German death camp of Auschwitz. As in previous years, the march was led by Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, a child survivor of Auschwitz. Other Israeli officials present included Education Minister Naftali Bennett, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, and Supreme Court Chief Justice Miriam Naor.
