An Iranian Base on the Mediterranean?

(Tablet) Judith Miller - According to Chagai Tzuriel, director general of Israel's Intelligence Ministry, Iran is now negotiating with Damascus to build a base on the Mediterranean. However, Russia is said to oppose Iran's quest for a military base on the sea near its own facilities at Tartus and Latakia.
