Egypt Opens Gaza Border for Ramadan

(Reuters) Egyptian President al-Sisi ordered on Thursday that the Rafah border crossing with Gaza be opened for the whole Muslim holy month of Ramadan, he said on Twitter. This would be the longest single opening in years. Egypt closed the border for long periods after attacks on Egyptian security forces in Sinai that increased in 2013.
