Senate Targets Hizbullah's Illicit Finance Channels
(JTA) The U.S. Senate passed a second measure on Tuesday targeting Hizbullah's funders and supporters. The Hizbullah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act of 2017 imposes sanctions on government entities that support the group's armed wing and sanctions companies or individuals who aid Hizbullah's fundraising or recruitment. The bill, which was passed by the House last month, now awaits the president's signature.
