CNN Drops Commentator after Anti-Israel Remarks
(Politico) Matthew Choi - CNN dropped commentator Marc Lamont Hill on Thursday after he made remarks calling for the elimination of Israel. Speaking at the UN on Wednesday, Hill called for a "free Palestine from the river to the sea." The statement, which refers to the territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea where Israel is located, is a rallying cry used by several Palestinian groups, including Hamas. "Those calling for 'from the river to the sea' are calling for an end to the State of Israel," said Sharon Nazarian, the Anti-Defamation League's senior vice president for international affairs.
