Toronto Man Guilty of Advocating Genocide
(Toronto Star-Canada) Betsy Powell - Rupen Balaram-Sivaram of Toronto was found guilty on Monday of advocating genocide against Jewish people and homosexuals. Superior Court Justice Michael Brown said Balaram-Sivaram's Facebook and Twitter statements were intended to encourage likeminded people to commit genocidal actions. A tweet posted on Jan. 28, 2015, stated: "Time for Hizbullah to exterminate each and every men, women and children from that illegal state called Israel." An email sent to a Toronto MP called for bombs and viruses to be used against "rotten, defective, genetic garbage called Jews and homosexuals."
