Elisabeth Eidenbenz is credited with saving the lives of 400 Spanish refugees and 200 Jewish refugees through her maternity hospital in Elne. She was honored by Yad Vashem as a Righteous Among the Nations in 2002 and the 2018 Spanish film "The Light of Hope" aims to amplify her heroism.
