Israel Recovers Body of U.S.-Born Soldier Zachary Baumel Missing since 1982
(New York Times) David M. Halbfinger - The remains of Brooklyn-born Sgt. First Class Zachary Baumel, 21, who went missing during the First Lebanon War battle at Sultan Yaaqoub on June 11, 1982, have been repatriated, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday. Israel's military and intelligence services never stopped searching for him and others who remain missing.
