U.S. Sending 1,000 More Troops to Middle East amid Tensions with Iran
(U.S. Defense Department) Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan on Monday authorized 1,000 additional troops for defensive purposes to address air, naval, and ground-based threats in the Middle East.
