Aliyah to Israel Surges from Russia

(Ha'aretz) Judy Maltz - Immigration to Israel rose by more than a quarter in the first half of 2019, fueled almost entirely by a 73% increase in aliyah from Russia, according to Jewish Agency data. While immigration from France and the U.S. dropped, 616 members of the Falashmura community in Ethiopia arrived.
