Lebanese Prime Minister Hariri Resigns, Defying Hizbullah

(Reuters) Saad al-Hariri resigned as Lebanon's prime minister on Tuesday. His departure defies Hizbullah, which was part of his coalition and wanted him and the government to stay on. Lebanon has been paralyzed by an unprecedented wave of protests against the rampant corruption of the political class.
