Jewish Caucus Inserts Anti-Bias "Guardrails" into California Ethnic Studies Law
(Jewish News of Northern California) Gabe Stutman - Last week the California Legislature approved a law requiring all public high schools to offer an ethnic studies course which will be made a requirement for graduation by 2029. Members of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus - having dealt with outrage in the Jewish community about the first draft of an ethnic studies model curriculum that many say contained anti-Jewish and anti-Israel bias - now say they helped insert "guardrail" language into the law to help head off anti-Jewish or anti-Israel bias.
